explores the ongoing production, circulation and refraction of
discourses on gender and nation as well as race, empire and modernity
since the mid-18th century. Texts will incorporate visual material as
well as literary evidence and culture and consider the crystallization
of the discipline of history itself. Counts toward the Gender and
Sexuality Studies Concentration.
